The chicken wars are moving towards new territory as KFC enters the footwear races.
KFC has partnered with Crocs to create a pair of clogs that will surely make a statement. The shoes were unveiled during New York Fashion Week. The clogs come in two varieties – a “sky-high” platform version as well as a Classic Clog, the press release reveals.
“Combining the unmistakable look of our world-famous fried chicken and signature KFC bucket, with the unparalleled comfort and style of Crocs, these shoes are what fried chicken footwear dreams are made of,” CMO Andrea Zahumensky of KFC U.S. said.
They also include chicken-scented and chicken-shaped Jibbitz charms that you can add to the top of the shoes for a little extra flare. The shoes feature a realistic Kentucky Fried Chicken Pattern on the top with a pattern matching their unmistakable, red-striped buckets on the bottom.
“As Crocs continues to create new, unexpected brand collaborations, we’re thrilled with this ‘bucket list’ partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken that will bring fans an unbelievably fun and fashionable take on our classic clog,” said Terrence Reilly, Crocs SVP and CMO. “
“We’re honored to feature this fashion-forward style between two iconic American brands at one of New York’s biggest weeks in fashion that promises to surprise and delight customers around the globe,” he continued.
The shoes are available in unisex sizes and will retail for $59.99. The limited-edition shoes will be available for purchase in the spring.
