It’s the collaboration you never knew you needed.
Starting today, Krispy Kreme and Butterfinger are teaming up to bring customers the chocolatey and crunchy treat of their dreams.
As usual, the chain’s orignal glazed doughnut will serve as the base and will draw inspiration from everyone’s favorite candy bar.
The first addition to the menu is The Butterfinger Original Filled Doughnut. It’s described as “an Original Glazed doughnut filled with Peanut Butter Chocolate Kreme, dipped in Butterfinger icing and topped with Butterfinger pieces and a chocolate drizzle.
The second options is The Butterfinger Fudge Cake Doughnut with a “rich chocolate cake doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Kreme and Butterfinger pieces.”
It’s only fair that you try both of the doughnuts so that you can declare a clear winner.
“We’ve done it. We’ve achieved our goal of putting krispety, crunchety, glazey, chocolatey and peanut buttery all in a doughnut,” said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme in the press release.
“Fans of both brands are going to love the chocolatey crunchiness of Butterfinger matched with the airy sweetness of Krispy Kreme,” he added.
Remember when your mother would always tell you that “nothing good lasts forever?” Yeah, this is one of those moments.
The decadent doughnuts are only available for a limited-time (through March 14), which means if you want to get them, you better run, not walk, to your nearest Krispy Kreme location in the U.S.
You can always travel to Krispy Kreme Australia, where the chain will debut three doughnuts inspired by “Rick and Morty” on March 16.
The three doughnut options include: Pickle Rick (lemon flavored), Simple Rick’s Wafer Cookie, and Strawberry Smiggles.
They can be washed down with a Fleeb Juice shake, made from Krispy Kreme’s raspberry and blue heaven flavors.
