What will you find at the end of the rainbow this St. Patrick’s Day?
At Krispy Kreme, you’ll find a pot o’ green donuts!
The North-Carolina based chain announced that it’s bringing back the all-green O'riginal Glazed Doughnut starting March 9.
According to the press release, “mischievous leprechauns” are also sneaking into Krispy Kreme shops nationwide to give the menu a bit of an Irish makeover.
Customers will be able to indulge in treats that are topped with green frosting and seasonal designs.
New menu items include the Chocolate Iced with green Kreme, Cake Batter with green icing, Strawberry Iced with St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles, OREO Cookies & Kreme with green icing drizzle, and Chocolate Iced Custard filled with shamrock sprinkles.
Customers who are feeling the luck of the Irish can also opt for the speciality Leprechaun Trap Doughnut, which is decorated as a pot of gold and filled with Irish Kreme filling.
The donut will be available in limited quantities each day, so hurry on over to your nearest Krispy Kreme location.
All “greenified” menu items will be available for a short period of time starting on March 13 and through St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.
This marks the first time that Krispy Kreme is going green with each donut. Previously, they only dyed their signature donuts green for the holiday.
With many cities canceling St. Patrick’s Day parades and events out of an abundance of caution over the coronavirus outbreak, a green donut might be just the pick-me-up you need to spread Irish cheer.
