First Lady Melania Trump is no longer expected to attend a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania Tuesday night with her husband, President Donald Trump.

Stephanie Grisham, spokesperson for the first lady, reportedly NBC News that the reason for her absence is a lingering cough.

"Mrs. Trump continues to feel better every day following her recovery from COVID-19, but with a lingering cough, and out of an abundance of caution, she will not be traveling today," Grisham said.

The rally is scheduled to take place at Erie International Airport. This would have been the first lady's first appearance since the Republican National Convention.

Earlier this month, both Trumps announced that they tested positive for COVID-19. The president even spent a few days at Walter Reed hospital to undergo treatment.

It was there that he received an experimental treatment known as Regeneron.

By the following Tuesday, the president was back at the White House and on October 10, he held his first in-person event since the diagnosis.

In mid-October, it was later revealed by the first lady that Baron, the Trump's son, also tested positive.
