There’s a new Girl Scout cookie in the running to be your favorite coming this year. While Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs have a loyal following, there’s a new, lemony flavor that may steal some hearts.

The cookies, called Lemon-Ups, are deemed “a crispy lemon cookie” with a layer of sweet glaze on one side. Each cookie features a message of inspiration from the Girl Scouts of the USA. Some of these phrases include, “I’m a leader,” “I am an innovator,” and “I am a risk-taker.”

The cookie will be joining its lemony counterparts, Lemonades, in the Girl Scout Cookie lineup. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to test out the tart treat. The cookies will be available only in select Girl Scout council markets.

Girl Scouts took to Instagram with the news, reminding consumers that “every purchase of Girl Scout Cookies makes experiences like adventure-packed camping and canoeing exploring space science and designing robots, and taking action to improve their communities possible for girls in your local community.”

According to Today, senior director of communications and external affairs at Girl Scouts of the USA Stewart Goodbody said of the new flavor, “We wanted to keep the same lemon flavor consumers know and love but introduce a new take on it, complete with messages inspired by Girl Scout Cookie entrepreneurs!”

The new flavor of cookie comes a year after last year’s debut of the Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie, which was the first cookie introduced since 2016’s S’mores flavor.
