Weinstein Accuser Rose McGowan Speaks to Ronan Farrow in 'Catch and Kill' Podcast Bonus Episode

Rose McGowan is speaking out after the Harvey Weinstein verdict.

The actress joined Ronan Farrow to reflect on the ruling in a special bonus episode of the “The Catch and Kill Podcast With Ronan Farrow” that was released on RADIO.COM on Friday.

The new episode of the Pineapple Street Studios production features a no-holds-barred discussion between Farrow and the Weinstein accuser that was recorded on Monday, hours after the verdict was announced.

McGowan was the first woman to go on camera and speak out about her experiences with Weinstein when Farrow first reported on the allegations against the disgraced Hollywood producer.

On the special post-Weinstein verdict bonus episode, McGowan, who says Weinstein assaulted her in 1997, opened up about how she felt when she heard news of the verdict.

“Today I have this tiny feeling of this little chrysalis opening in my heart and my chest right now,” McGowan told Farrow.

The actress went on to explain the moment of release that the verdict symbolized for her and other women victimized by Weinstein.

“I haven’t exhaled in so long,” she said. “I know that every woman who’s been affected by him and everybody who’s even been affected by this period had this collected breath held.”

On the episode, McGowan also told Farrow that she would take the stand in any potential future Weinstein case.

“I’ll see this through,” she said. “I just want to take out the trash.”

On Monday, Weinstein was convicted of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree. He was found not guilty of the two most serious counts of predatory sexual assault, as well as rape in the first degree.
