Taco Bell is ready to serve you new items to start your day as the fast-food chain breakfast battles intensify.
The chain is adding three new breakfast options starting Thursday.
First up is the Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito, which features eggs, sausage and nacho cheese.
The Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito will satiate your morning hunger with eggs, potato bites, pico de gallo, a three-cheese blend and either bacon or sausage.
While the Hash Brown Toasted Breakfast Burrito rounds out the list with eggs, a three-cheese blend, a hash brown and bacon or sausage.
Breakfast has been a staple on the Taco Bell menu since 2014 and includes a wide-variety of burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, but as fast-food chains like McDonald's and Wendy’s ramp up their breakfast efforts, TB is looking for a unique approach.
"We love the opportunity to do something different in the morning," Melissa Friebe, senior vice president of brand marketing and consumer insights at Taco Bell, told CNN Business. "Why would you go to a burger place to get a breakfast burrito? That's really our point of view."
She’s likely referring to the recently launched breakfast menu at Wendy’s that includes several items, including egg sandwiches and a breakfast burrito.
McDonald’s also proved that breakfast is key to their success when they weren’t afraid to hijack Wendy’s official breakfast menu launch by handing out free Egg McMuffins that same day and declaring the day “National Egg McMuffin Day.”
