It’s also the topic of a new study that investigated what females actually look for in a partner.

Germany’s University of Göttingen collaborated with the female health app Clue to survey over 64K women in 180 countries. Shockingly, they found that kindness is the thing ladies considered most important in a significant other, according to the New York Post. So nice guys don’t finish last?
Nearly 90% of respondents said being treated well was their most desirable quality in a mate. Supportiveness came in second with 86%, followed by 72% for intelligence. 64.5% said their mate’s level of education was the most crucial criteria, while a little over 60% claimed confidence as their priority in a lover.
“Kindness is rather like gravity, essential but little noticed until it’s gone,” said lead researcher Dr. Virginia J. Vitzthum. “Given today’s emphasis on looks and wealth, it may surprise you that kindness is a top desirable trait across the world.”
Despite our Instagram world of thirst traps and Photoshopped physiques, only 22.3% of women thought an "attractive body" was very important. Tell that to all the influencers on your feed!
This should give us all hope in a world where everyone’s knee-jerk reaction is to swipe left on anyone with even the slightest imperfection.
"Intrinsic goodness, and shared values, these are what drive real romance," she said.
