A good coach and a good dad.
Vanessa Bryant is sharing old videos to keep the memory of the late Kobe Bryant and 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, alive.
In a sweet tribute on Instagram, she posted a video of her husband coaching Gianna. The father-and-daughter duo were very close and shared a passion for basketball.
“She started out playing soccer, which is one of my favorite sports as well,” the former NBA star can be heard saying.
“But then, when she asked about learning the game of basketball, I started teaching her piece by piece, and she started enjoying it and loving it and now she plays every day, the Lakers legend added.
“It’s been a joy to watch her grow and to be there every day for that process,” Kobe said with pride, adding, “Her temperament is a lot like mine. She’s extremely competitive, very fiery, and backs down from no challenge.”
In fact, he even suggested that she’s more competitive because she’s “a good mix of me and good mix of her mama.”
It’s been two months since Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash along with 7 other passengers.
Since then, Vanessa has been posting heartwarming memories of the 41-year-old and their daughter.
Earlier this month, Natalia paid tribute to her late dad and sister by posing in front of a memorial mural of the two before attending her winter formal.
Vanessa is also a mother to 3-year-old Bianka and 9-month-old Capri with Kobe.
