Vanessa Bryant expressed her love for Kobe Bryant on her first Valentine’s Day since his death nearly three weeks ago.
In an emotional message, Vanessa also revealed it was her late husband’s favorite holiday.
“To my forever Valentine, I love you so much,” Vanessa captioned a photo of herself wrapped in Kobe’s arms as he kissed her cheek. “Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre.”
The 37-year-old also sent love to the couple’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna, who died alongside her father in the tragic helicopter accident.
“Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day, my babies,” she wrote. “With all my love, your boo-boo.”
In addition, Lauryn Hill’s song "Tell Him" played in the background as the track’s poignant lyrics scrolled across the image.
Last week, Vanessa revealed a public memorial for Kobe and Gianna will take place at Staples Center on Feb. 24.
On Friday, the Lakers announced fans can register to purchase tickets from now until Monday, February 17 at 10 p.m. PT.
The tickets will be available at a price of $224 each, two for $224 or $24.02 apiece.
All proceeds will go to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, which helps enrich the “socio-emotional and physical development” of underserved communities through youth sports programs.
“Because there is no #24 without #2,” she wrote while alluding to Kobe and Gianna’s jersey numbers. “We have updated the Mamba Sports Foundation to now be called the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.”
Kobe and Gianna were laid to rest in a private funeral last Friday.
