The groom may have gotten his "yes," but this marriage proposal took a turn for the worst when he fell from his perch into the water.
In a video shared to Twitter, a man can be seen inching towards his future wife by using the perimeter of a neighboring boat. He eventually makes his way over to her and asks his bride-to-be to marry him.
The woman can be seen letting out an ecstatic confirmation just before hitting the gas of the boat she, herself, was perched on. Using the boat for balance, the man flies off and into the water.
The woman falls backwards as well, but is saved from the water by the boat under her.
Sometimes, your marriage proposals just don't go as planned, but for some lucky few, they turn out better than could ever be expected.
Late last year, John Stamos took to Instagram to share a video of the moment when he helped a lucky fan propose to his girlfriend in the middle of Disney World.
“To assist with an engagement anywhere is an honor, but at @waltdisneyworld right as the fireworks began? That’s magical! Congrats kids!,” the caption reads.
The man in an accompanying video had just met Stamos minutes before during a photo-op and asked him if he would assist in the proposal. Stamos vehemently agreed to do so.
As the pair geared up to take a photo with the man’s girlfriend behind the camera, the man dropped to one knee to ask the question. “Will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the world?,” the man can be heard asking in the video.
