Still can’t believe I work for New York's Country 94.7!! The chance to play the music that is the soundtrack to so many of my favorite moments – in the Greatest City in the World!?!? Are you kidding me?
I live on the Upper West Side, love new restaurants, attending weird “New Yorky” type events and hanging with my NYC Michigan State University Alums to cheer on our Spartans at a spot on W 79th. I still look both ways in the middle of the Avenues to soak up the view and love exploring the Tri-State with my Sunday train rides. Thanks for listening and I’ll see you at the next concert! Let’s grab a drink!
How did I get here…
I was the kid in high school that tried to do a little of everything. I played football, baseball, basketball… went through every brass instrument in the band (turns out I’m a Tuba man), and hosted a radio show on our school station (insert foreshadowing here). I actually planned on being a math teacher when I headed off for Michigan State.
Next stop Greenville, South Carolina to work at an ALL 80’s Radio Station – So fun! Having already been a Country Music fan, I realized how much effect living in the South was having on me. The people, the food, the music. I used to tear up hearing Buddy Jewel’s “Southern Comfort”. At the same time I had this feeling I wanted to be in New York City. The rest is…..still happening!
