Jaclyn Smith and Tanya Roberts shared the screen on the final season of iconic television series “Charlie’s Angels.”
Following Roberts’ death on Monday, the 75-year-old has posted a touching tribute to her former co-star.
“Tanya joined #CharliesAngels for the final season, closing it out as it was initially intended with a red head, a brunette and a blonde,’’ Smith captioned a classic photo from the series alongside Roberts and fellow co-star Cheryl Ladd. “She brought joy to so many people and had a career spanning decades.”
Smith finished the message by adding, “Good bye angel, Rest In Peace.”
Roberts died Monday night after her rep and partner had both mistakenly said that she passed away on Sunday.
The 65-year-old actress died as a result of a urinary tract infection, her rep, Mike Pingel, told People.
"With a heavy heart I can confirm the death of Tanya Roberts last night on January 4, 2021 around 9:30pm PT at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA," Pingel said in a statement, per the outlet.
He added that the cause of death "was from a urinary tract infection which spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver and then blood stream."
Roberts appeared on “Charlie’s Angels” during the show’s fifth and final season from 1980 - 1981.
She went on to play a Bond girl in the 1985 film “A View to a Kill” alongside Roger Moore and also starred on the FOX sitcom “That ‘70s Show.”
Roberts is survived by her partner of 18 years, Lance O'Brien, and her sister, Barbara Chase.
