No, it isn’t throwback Thursday, Gwen Stefani is finally back to remind us of her roots in her new single “Let Me Reintroduce Myself.”
But don’t get it twisted, this is anything but a comeback. Gwen is still the “original me.” The No Doubt frontwoman is still mixing up those “homegrown ingredients” to give us new energy in 2020. As she reminds us, she already gave us “bananas” and now she’s giving us a 2.0 version of the woman behind “Hollaback Girl.”

Throughout the new lyric video that debuted alongside the new single, Gwen serves us two sides of herself… the “Just A Girl” 1995 side, clad in low-rise dickies, and the “twenty-twenty-twenty-twenty-twenty vision” side of herself where she dons a more modern representation of 2020 Gwen… covered in decadent, bejeweled, tasseled and stoned western-like wear.
These two halves of Gwen equal a whole which is how we’ve been gifted this fresh new single. On Instagram Stefani writes, “LET ME REINTRODUCE MYSELF my new single is out now! Go ahead, binge on my music for days!”
On the same day that Gwen has dropped her new solo track, “Happy Anywhere,” her Country collaboration with her husband-to-be, Blake Shelton has reached number one on Country radio. Gwen took to Instagram to share her excitement and writes, “@blakeshelton i can’t believe the same day I get to release my first single in 5 years we go #1 one country radio!!!!!!!!! what a blessing!! thank u!!!”
Gwen’s first solo track in five years, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” is out everywhere now.
