American Airlines expanding number of destinations they're allowing to get pre-flight COVID testing

American Airlines is expanding the number of destinations they are allowing to get pre-flight COVID testing.

Starting this month you can now fly to new destinations in the Caribbean, Latin America and Hawaii with the option to get screened for COVID-19.

American Airlines has partnered with LetsGetChecked, an at-home testing option that includes observation by a medical professional via a virtual visit.

Customers will be able to take the test within 72 hours prior to traveling to Belize, Grenada and St. Lucia, as well as the Aloha state.

Results can be expected in 48 hours on average.

The Fort Worth-based airline currently offers pretesting to more destinations than any other U.S. carrier.

American Airlines hopes this new effort will reinforce providing a safe and positive travel experience to customers while also reopening international travel and driving industry recovery.
