Drake shared his plans to delay the albums release as well as why on his Instagram story on Wednesday evening (January 20).

"I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery," Drake wrote, referring to his knee injury. "I'm blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won't be dropping in January."

For some good news, Drake ended his announcement by confirming that the album will still be arriving this year. Concluding, “I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

Okay so now what? We just wait? Guess so…

Directly succeeding his last full-length contribution 2020's Dark Lane Demo Tapes, whenever it does arrive, Certified Lover Boy will mark Drake’s sixth studio album, following 2018’s chart-topping Scorpion, and is set to include the previously released track "Laugh Now Cry Later" featuring Lil Durk.
