McDonald’s customer calls 911 after missing breakfast due to long drive-thru line

Police officers typically get calls for crimes, but sometimes it can be for obscure reasons.

Police in England shared that their department received a peculiar call from a McDonald’s customer.

The woman was distraught that the long line at the drive-thru made her miss her breakfast, Fox News reported.

It all happened at the popular fast-food chain in West Sussex. Reports confirm that the woman got in line for the drive-thru before 11 a.m. However, she didn’t get up to the window until the breakfast cut-off time had passed.

She eventually got furious and called the police.

Inspector Darren Taylor with the Mid Sussex Neighborhood Police tweeted about the incident, writing that the department received “a call at 11:30 this morning from an angry lady who stated that due to the queue at the McDonalds drive-thru in EG, by the time she got to the window the breakfast service had stopped and she couldn’t order a breakfast.”

The post concludes, “The lady was given words of advice about ringing the Police.”

McDonald’s restaurants in England do not serve all-day breakfast while US locations have some all-day offerings.

In October, McDonald’s introduced a sweet new McCafé Bakery lineup for the first time in eight years. Customers are now able to enjoy a new Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin or Cinnamon Roll at breakfast time.

Each new menu item was available all day at participating restaurants nationwide, because, as the company says, you never know when that sweet craving will hit.
