On Monday, Diamond released a video of a massive global singalong to the ever-popular “Sweet Caroline.” The video opens with the words, “2020 has been a tough year for everyone, so we wanted to bring people together the best way we knew how…. Through music.”
Fans from around the world were challenged to record themselves singing the 1969 hit, and all the clips were sorted into a compilation that came together to be one global music video.
The song, which has been a collective mainstay for those attending Red Sox games at Boston’s Fenway Park has always worked wonders bringing an entire stadium together, and lyrics like “hands touching hands, reaching out, touching me touching you,” have a way of connecting us all. The video comes in due time when we all want to feel a little closer during the holiday season.
