Greg has lived in Ringgold for the last 25 years. His youngest child is part of the 5-Star Dance Team at Heritage Middle School. His wife is an avid runner. (Greg ran a 5K once. ONCE.) Greg’s first rock concert was Jethro Tull…with Whitesnake as the opener. He spends what free time he can find by acting in community theatre. He has performed in dramas, comedies, and musicals at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, Catoosa County Colonnade, Dalton Little Theatre and East Brainerd Community Theatre. Greg has been in two local independent films and he was even in the Jackie Robinson biopic “42” filmed here in Chattanooga. (Blink and you will miss him.) Greg does a tremendous amount of commercial voiceovers for businesses throughout the United States.  If you need a buddy for some day drinkin’, he’s there for ya Middays 10 til 3 on Rock 105.

What 2 individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with?

Robin Williams (he's always been a favorite comedian & actor...and I wish that we could have been friends.

My great aunt who passed away when I was 12. Aunt Dolie (yes, only ONE L in her name). She was a former school teacher and principal. I remember spending summers with her. She was kind and patient - and introduced me to the love of garage sales. I often think of her and wonder how my life would have been different if she had lived longer.

What was the first huge music hit that you remember?

I guess it was 1975(?) My family lived in Montgomery, Alabama. During the summer we would visit family in Louisiana. I can remember my brother, mom, and dad singing this song as we crossed the stateline returning from summer vacation.

What was the best concert you ever attended?

It's really difficult to say which is a "favorite". I could go with the first rock concert I ever attended which was Jethro Tull concert in San Diego, California back in 1980. I'm not a huge Tull fan, but some friends were going so I bought a ticket and went with them. I will say that my favorite is the recent "Rock 105 20th Birthday Bash Concert". It was simply a fantastic evening filled with fans of the station. Excellent time was had by all.

What are you passionate about?

Theatre. I love doing community theatre in the Chattanooga area. I enjoy making people laugh...and cry...and get angry...being able to portray a wide range of characters over the years has been my biggest passion.

What’s your favorite movie?
Again, this is a difficult choice. If I had to pick ONE, it would be the one that changed the way movies were perceived. It was the first "Blockbuster". It is also an incredible character study about three men who are afraid and face their fears anyway. Three people who don't really care for each other, but work together against a common enemy. It will make you laugh, cry, jump, and cheer. My pick is the original "Jaws".

Describe your craziest “how did I get here?” moment.

Standing in front of 1000s of fans at UTC McKenzie Arena during the Five Finger Death Punch concert. Five years ago - I would have laughed in your face.

Who is your most & least favorite superhero and why?

Batman has been my sidekick for most of my life. My mom claims she could tell time by me. Because I would be home at promptly 3pm weekdays when the old Adam West TV show would air.

My old comic books are worth nothing because I would read and re-read every one over and over. I was there at the midnight showing of the Michael Keaton Batman...and I have seen every other incarnation since then.

Least favorite: Hmmmm...is there? Never been a big Flash fan...don't hate him...just not my favorite.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your job?

We work only 4 or 5 hours playing our favorite songs. That's a significant part of it...but it ain't the ONLY part. Part of the job is to make it look fun - it IS, but as with any job it is not ALWAYS fun. I am not complaining.
I am blessed to make a living being a radio jock. My parents are still wondering when I'll get a real job.

What is one song that you have completely memorized?

John Denver's Sunshine On My Shoulder. Don't Judge Me.

What is your most dreaded household chore? And why?

MOWING THE YARD. It was my first summer job (made pretty good money for a kid back in the day). Living in the foothills of North Georgia is not the best place to mow. I wear baseball cleats to mow my yard because it is just that steep.
