Positive COVID-19 Test From A's Organization Leads To Postponement Of Sunday's Astros Game

By SportsRadio 610

HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Sunday's game between the Oakland Athletics and Houston Astros has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test result in the A's organization, Major League Baseball announced.

The MLB statement said it was postponing the game out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing and contact tracing.

Houston and Oakland had been scheduled for a three-game series this weekend, but players from both teams elected not to play Friday in support of social justice and racial equality.

They played a doubleheader on Saturday, with the Astros taking both games. Houston is 2.5 games behind Oakland for the American League West division lead.
