The most memorable guests at Game 5 of the 2019 World Series were President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and a slew of political connections that sat in their suite. Also in attendance were a pair of activists that were ultimately banned from all 30 MLB stadiums after flashing Houston Astros RHP Gerrit Cole.
For entirely different reasons, none of them are expected to be at Game 6 in Houston. However, another fan that made a name for himself at Game 5 will be.
During Game 5 of the World Series - which the Astros ultimately won 7-1 - a fan went viral for being so committed to holding his two Bud Lights that he was willing to get drilled by a Yordan Alvarez two-run home run:
Adam Kilgore of The Washington Post did an excellent feature with the fan, whose name is Jeff Adams. Bud Light managed to track him down as well, and not only are they paying for him to attend Game 6 in Houston, but they've designed a custom shirt for him to wear:
While the Nationals won the first two games of the World Series in Houston, they'll head back to Houston down 3-2 after losing all three games played at Nationals Park. The Nationals will send three-time All-Star RHP Stephen Strasburg to the mound as they face elimination. Meanwhile, the Astros will counter with future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander.
