With the 2020 MLB season on hold because of COVID-19, Gerrit Cole has yet to make his New York Yankees' debut. However, after signing a nine-year/$324 million free-agent deal with the Bronx Bombers this past offseason, Cole didn't waste any time purchasing a spectacular new home.
According to Realtor.com, the 29-year-old righty purchased a new pad in Greenwich, CT that came with a hefty $5.5 million price tag.
Cole's new home is nearly 9,000 square feet, with Realtor.com adding that it includes six-and-a-half bedrooms and is located on a two-acre property. The backyard also features a beautiful pool and a good amount of privacy thanks to a heavy tree presence.

Cole may have grabbed the throne as the best pitcher in baseball in the second half of the 2019 season. While pitching for the eventual American League Champion Houston Astros, Cole went 11-0 with a 1.79 ERA in 14 starts after the All-Star Break. His addition was expected to help the Yankees compete for their first World Series title since 2009.
