President Trump Hears 'Lock Him Up' Chants At World Series

By , RADIO.COM Sports

President Donald Trump wasn't well received in his appearance at Game 5 of the 2019 World Series at Nationals Park.

Trump wasn't invited to throw out the first pitch before the game, perhaps in an attempt to eliminate any chance that his presence at the game overshadowed the game itself. Still, when Trump was shown on the video board at Nationals Park, not only was he booed, but he had a chant that became famous at his 2016 presidential rallies turned on him:

"Lock Her Up!" chants were often heard at Trump's rallies during his 2016 presidential run, referring to his eventual general election opponent, Hillary Clinton.

While Trump ultimately defeated Clinton in the 2016 election, he ironically was clobbered in Washington D.C., where he now resides. Trump won just 4.06 percent of the vote in the nation's capital, putting him just a few percentage points higher than Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
