Kristaps Porzingis Ejected From Mavs Playoff Game After 'Bogus' Call

Kristaps Porzingis did not have any friends in the officiating crew on Monday night in his playoff debut.

The 7-foot-3 Dallas Mavericks forward was ejected in the third quarter of the game after being assessed a second technical foul – both of which were very questionable calls.

With the Mavericks leading 71-66 and 9:10 remaining in the third quarter, Marcus Morris and Luka Doncic began jawing at each other after Morris grabbed Doncic going for the ball.

As the two got chest-to-chest, Porzingis came in to separate the two with some minor shoving.

Shockingly, a double technical was assessed to Porzingis and Morris resulting in the ejection of Porzingis.

The call not only left the Mavericks shocked, but everyone watching the game – including stars such as LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki and Texas native Patrick Mahomes.

Color commentator Jeff Van Gundy also described it as “two weak technical fouls.”

To make matters worse, Porzingis’ first technical was also questionable. He appeared to block a clean shot in the second quarter when he was called for a foul and let out some emotion over the call.

Otherwise, Porzingis had a fairly decent showing in his first career playoff game after being traded from the Knicks to the Mavericks last February.

The forward finished 3-of-9 shooting from the field with 14 points, six rebounds and a block in 20 minutes of action.
