Report: 76ers interested in trading for Rockets’ James Harden

By SportsRadio 610

Just one day after former Rockets general manager Daryl Morey was named president of basketball operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, there is already a report of him being expected to pursue James Harden.

Shams Charania reports on Stadium the Sixers are among a list of teams which could show interest in the Rockets’ star guard, who Morey traded for eight years ago.

For now, it’s a non-starter on the Rockets’ part, according to Charania.

Harden is under contract for at least one more season, but there is a player option for 2021-22. It’s the same situation with his running mate Russell Westbrook.

The Rockets view this as a two-year window with Harden and Westbrook as their top players. Other teams, however, will be interested in making an early impression on Harden if they can lure him away from the Rockets.
