The 2020 NFL Draft is surely going to be one of a kind.
This is the first year the draft will be held in Las Vegas, as the NFL welcomes the city as the new home of the Raiders, and the league is dialing things up a notch.
The NFL announced on Tuesday its plans for the draft, from April 23-25, and it included a stage for the NFL Draft Red Carpet constructed on the Fountains of Bellagio where attending prospects will be transported to via boat.
The NFL Draft Main Stage will be located next to the Caesars Forum, which will consist of a viewing zone open to the public for fans to gather and watch. There will also be performances on the main stage throughout the weekend.
Other amenities include the NFL Draft Experience — a free, three-day football festival with interactive games and autograph sessions, which will also include special performances.
Clark County, Nevada unveiled renderings on social media of the various locations for the weekend.
“We are excited to partner with the NFL and the Raiders for our first major event together in Las Vegas," said Steve Hill, Chief Executive Officer and President of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "Our destination prides itself on creating unforgettable and epic events and experiences and we believe the 2020 Draft will be among the most thrilling events Las Vegas has ever hosted. We look forward to welcoming hundreds of thousands of NFL fans to our world-class destination on April 23."
Headlining this year’s draft will be LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow, who is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals, while Ohio State pass rusher Chase Young figures to go second to the Washington Redskins.
