The Carolina Panthers announced Wednesday morning that the team has entered the NFL's intensive protocol after an Atlanta Falcons player was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Rookie defense tackle Marlon Davidson has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Davidson played 12 snaps against Carolina and had one pass defended with no tackles.

The two teams played Sunday at it usually takes three to five days after a person acquires the virus and a positive result is recorded.

As of Wednesday morning, no Panthers players have tested positive for COVID-19 and the team will still practice as normal, the team said in a statement.

Intensive protocols were added by the NFL last week and include contact tracing and other precautionary measures to avoid an outbreak.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, on Monday, the NFL-NFLPA protocols distributed new protocols to clubs stating that anyone with "high risk" close contact exposure to a COVID-19 positive must isolate for at least five days, even if a player is negative or asymptomatic.

However, while no in-person meetings are allowed, practice outdoors are.

Here is a list of changes the Panthers will be making this week:

-Practice or walk-throughs can happen on the practice field or at the indoor facility, but all coaches and staff must wear masks, and all players must wear an Oakley Faceshield or mask. Players can remove their helmets for breaks but must be more than six feet away from one another.

-All meetings will be held virtually, unless they are held outdoors with masks being worn by all.

-Coaches may not have any in-person meetings in a room smaller than the full-team room.

-Only 10 players may work out in the weight room with a maximum of five staff members in the room.

-The only sustained player activity inside the facility may be medical and rehab. Players may participate in outdoor rehab, but only if they're by themselves or supervised by one therapist at an appropriate distance.

-All players must get their COVID-19 PCR test results from the previous day before any players are permitted in the facility.

-All meals must be grab-and-go to eliminate seating in the meal area.

-Players can only be in the locker room for 15 minutes or less with masks worn at all times.

The Panthers host the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
