Daniel Jones has brains and brawn.
The brains were apparent from his wonderlic score, which, at 37, ranked third out of the 14 quarterback prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft class. After all, there aren't too many Duke grads who aren't on the more intelligent side of the NFL.
The brawn, on the other hand, may have taken a little while longer to develop. But after seeing some pictures and videos of Jones returning to workouts after the coronavirus hiatus, we have a good idea what the second-year gunslinger had been focusing on in his off time.
You could pause the above video at any time and see just how bulging those upper legs look, but a still image is the only thing that truly does his growth justice.
You can see the difference in the legs and in the arms when looking at a 2019 vs. 2020 side-by-side.
Though Jones' strength was a subject of frequent debate leading up to his NFL debut, his performance throughout 2019 seemed to disprove the theory that it wasn't sufficient.
But, if there's still somehow any doubt, the above images should probably do the trick. Now, as to whether or not he can compete with Saquon Barkley, I admittedly may have jumped the gun on that one.
