Perhaps there is life after football for Tom Brady...in fashion?
The New England Patriots quarterback announced a new partnership with Swiss luxury watch brand IWC Schaffhausen in June and recently did an interview with WWD in which he gave a somewhat cryptic response when asked if he would ever consider designing an eponymous fashion collection.
“I don’t know what the future holds,” he said. “I have several things in the works that I can’t talk about now, and I don’t know if they’ll come to fruition, but I’m excited to find something to challenge me in my second career. I’m just not sure when that’ll happen.”
It sounds like the fashion industry may be calling Tom Brady’s name. His supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, certainly could connect him with the right people.
Of course, Brady has been well-suited in the fashion industry, being a brand ambassador for Tag Heuer and his endorsement deal with Uggs.
Still, Brady continued to raise doubt on when he would actually call it quits, adding at the end that he isn’t sure when that second career may happen.
The 42-year-old has previously expressed his desire to play until he is 45 and while he is coming off his sixth Super Bowl championship, there are still some casting doubt on whether or not Brady is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time), which should only further motivate the quarterback.
Brady is only signed through the end of the 2019 season, though, but a contract extension could still be in play.
Heck, he is moving faster than his 2000 NFL Combine, for what it’s worth.
