Well, that trade didn't work out.
After trading a second-round pick for him last season, the Patriots are now releasing wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
In eight regular-season games for the Patriots last season, Sanu had 26 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown. In the Patriots' lone playoff game, he had one catch for 11 yards.
Sanu underwent ankle surgery after the season and was briefly on the physically unable to perform list to start training camp, but was soon activated.
