A man saved a hockey rink in upstate New York Wednesday after the Zamboni he was driving burst into flames.
WHAM in Rochester reports the vehicle caught fire at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex in Brighton, NY after a hose broke that leaked hydraulic fluid on the machine’s motor.
After bursting into flames, the driver was able to safely drive the ice resurfacer off the ice where the fire was extinguished.
No one was on the ice at the time of the fire.
The driver probably saved the rink from further damage with his heroic effort, driving the machine while it was on fire!
