HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley is the latest head coaching candidate for the Texans.

An interview with the first-year Rams coordinator has been requested, according to multiple media outlets.

This makes Staley, 38, the fourth interview request for Texans head coach since hiring general manager Nick Caserio last week. The Texans have also requested interviews with Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and Ravens wide receivers coach David Culley.

Former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis interviewed for the job before Texans CEO Cal McNair and Jack Easterby hired Caserio, as did former Lions and Colts head coach Jim Caldwell and Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Sam Acho played outside linebacker for the Bears, where Staley was his position coach from 2017 to 2018. Acho joined In The Loop earlier in the week to talk about Staley and the head coach candidates.
