HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Running back C.J. Prosise has been signed to the Texans' practice squad after being released from the active roster.

The Texans released Prosise from the active roster Monday and activated defensive tackle Eli Ankou from the commissioner's exempt list.

To make room for Prosise on the practice squad, the Texans released tight end Troy Fumagalli.

Prosise this season has just one carry for one yard, which came in the Texans' Sept. 27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Texans have struggled to run the ball effectively, ranking 30th in rushing yards.
