NBA icon Michael Jordan's silhouette will adorn one of the league's special-edition uniforms during the 2020-21 season.
A small Jumpman logo belonging to Nike's Jordan brand will be stamped on the shoulder of players' jerseys and on the leg of their shorts for the so-called Statement Edition uniforms next season, replacing the usual Nike swoosh.
Jordan's logo, the Jumpman, which depicts him reaching for a dunk with legs and arms spread far apart, will appear on uniforms along with the league logo itself, the famed tricolor silhouette of Lakers legend Jerry West.
Each team wears the Statement Edition uniforms several times throughout the season, usually for rivalry games.
The Charlotte Hornets, owned by Jordan, have been wearing the Jumpman logo on their uniforms since 2017. It has also been featured on All-Star Game uniforms for several years, but next season would mark the first time it has been expanded to the other 30 teams in the league.
The jerseys will be available at retail stores in October, according to a Nike press release.
