The NFL is ramping up its measure to combat any more COVID-19 outbreaks.

Per an ESPN report, a league-wide memo was issued on Friday stating all team facilities will be closed for all in-person activities on Monday and Tuesday.

Teams that are playing Monday and Tuesday are not subject to the ban.

All activities and meetings will be conducted virtually instead, with the exception of medical treatment and rehab.

The decision comes due to a spike in coronavirus cases across the country as well as within the NFL, particularly the Baltimore Ravens, who have had about a dozen players and staff test positive in the last week, which has resulted in its Thursday night game against the Steelers to being rescheduled twice.

According to the memo, the league is also taking precautions with the understanding players may have had out-of-town guests to celebrate Thanksgiving.

The NFLPA has instructed players to alert teams if they have had guests over the past several days in order to prepare for additional testing when facilities reopen.
