Ricki Lake, the former talk show host and documentary filmmaker is officially engaged.
The 52-year-old announced on her official Instagram page that she is newly engaged to boyfriend Ross Burningham.
In the post, Lake posted a selfie of her and Burningham, showcasing their big smiles and looking very happy.
“Ross and I literally pinch ourselves that we have found each other at this time in our lives. Both of us, newly empty nesters, we feel as if we are kids again. We are filled with gratitude and joy for what is to come,” she said.
“This is Ross,” Lake added. “He is my person. He is wonderful. I love him very much and I am so grateful I get to love and be loved so deeply by this stellar human. Our next chapter is sure to be a good one.”
Throughout her Instagram page, Burningham is frequently seen pictured with her on the beach, with her dog, and spending time outdoors.
While the star shares positive personal news about her life, she also talks about the negatives.
Last month, Lake opened up about her hair loss battle. The former talk show host talked about her 30-year journey with the condition on “Good Morning America” and even showed off a new look.
“It was such a right of passage last year taking the leap of faith to shave my head, and my hair, thankfully, has grown back,” Lake said about her decision to speak out about the condition last January.
Lake explained that the damage to her hair happened during her run on “Hairspray” in 1988. She added that her career in the public eye, hormones, crash dieting, and genetics all played a contributing factor.
The 52-year-old said that the COVID-19 pandemic made her realize hair loss is no longer a huge issue.
