Liv Tyler says testing positive for COVID was an ‘emotional and psychological’ experience

Liv Tyler shared details that she tested positive for COVID-19.

The actress and daughter of Aerosmith musician Steven Tyler posted the news on her official Instagram page.

On Instagram, she posted a picture of herself wearing a face mask and cuddling with two of her three children.

“Reunited with my loves ... what a wild 2 weeks,” the 43-year-old wrote. “I’m such a private and shy person and usually don’t share such things but this is a big one and i feel we all need to share our stories, to share information, to gather facts and awareness and mostly to know we are not alone in this.”

Tyler tested positive for the deadly virus on New Year’s Eve.

“S—-, I had made it all the way through 2020 keeping myself and my family safe,” Tyler wrote. “Doing everything I could to protect my wolf pack and follow the rules to protect others. Suddenly on the [morning] of the last day of 2020... boom it took me down. It comes on fast, like a locomotive. Owchie.”

As millions of people across the nation have tested positive for COVID-19, Tyler wanted to make sure she detailed her own battle with the virus.

“With it, feelings of fear, shame and guilt swirling through you, who could you have gotten it from and who could you have infected...terrifying,” Tyler added.

While Tyler contracted the coronavirus, her family tested negative. Tyler has a four-year-old daughter, Lula, and a 5-year-old son, Sailor, with her fiancé Dave Gardner. She also has a 16-year-old son named Milo with ex-husband Roy Langdon.

She explained how there are many peculiar elements when it comes to testing positive for the virus. Tyler mentioned how it affects everyone differently and how it caused her to stay in bed for ten days.

“There is the physical aspects but also emotional and psychological ones too,” Tyler said. “It F’s with your body and mind equally. Every day different. Being isolated in a room alone for 10 days is trippy to say the least.”

As the actress is now recovering, she mentioned how she feels compassion for other health care workers and patients. She added that everyone is all connected through this experience.
