Machine Gun Kelly reveals the moment he fell in love with Megan Fox

Plus why Pete Davidson is a 'symbol of hope'

Machine Gun Kelly payed a virtual visit to The Howard Stern Show this past week to promote the Friday release of his new album Tickets to My Downfall, and while the two covered an array of topics, there’s two we’re mainly interested in, his album and his love life, so we’ll cover those first.

When you’re love life involves Megan Fox, consider us 100% fully invested, and coincidentally, that’s exactly the case for MGK, for the very first time. "I didn't know what [love] was until me and her made eye contact," Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, told Stern. "That's when I was like, ‘Whoa.’"

Sounds like love at first sight if you ask us. Don’t look at us like that, it’s a real thing. Colson even confirmed it, when asked by Stern that very question, he answered, "Yeah, for sure.” Howard even predicted the two would end up married.

The self-dubbed twin flames met on the set of their upcoming film Midnight in the Switchgrass, "After I made the big chunk of the album, I did fall in love for the first time," MGK revealed. "That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that. I definitely wasn't set up to believe that that's something that could ever exist.”

Kelly’s only qualm, which doesn’t have to do with the actual relationship, is the constant media attention that kind of popped off overnight once the world and the paps found out about his new lady love. "My house isn't gated, you know? so that's the one problem. Everyone knows where my house is, so it's like this odd moment, where I was kinda living my life super normal and the next day, there were paparazzi outside my house every day.”

When discussing his fifth studio album Tickets to My Downfall, Kelly addressed the opinions people seem to have about him switching up his sound. Up until now, it’s safe to say you could have classified MGK as a rapper of sorts, but Colson is here to tell you, us and everyone otherwise. “I just want to go against what everyone else thinks,” he said. “I make a pop-punk record … and everyone’s like, ‘You switched genres!’ To me, I just added on to the multiple things I’ve already done anyway, but, sure, what a narrow-minded way to look at things.”

The Cleveland native also discussed the simmering beef between him and Eminem. “I don’t feel any type of way about it,” he said. “I’m like asleep on my tour bus and this f****** guy drops an album with like three songs consecutively talking about me. What the f*** you think I’m going to do, just f****** roll over and go back to sleep? I said what I said. Respect the fight, that’s it.”

But that wasn’t it, Kelly added that if he wouldn’t even bother going after other rappers if he had “god damn wealth beyond” like Marshall Mathers. Claiming, “I’m just a different type though man, I’m all about putting my arm around people. I’m not with doing this to people, so I can’t relate. The last thing I wanna ever be is an angry legend.”

Howard also brought up Kelly’s BFFL, SNL alum Pete Davidson. "Pete is like my little brother, and my best friend too," he says of Davidson, and reminisced about how they bonded over weed while filming The Dirt, and how he was actually crashing on Pete’s couch during the Ariana Grande / BDE era. “I remember when like the Ari thing happened, I just looked at Pete and I was like, ‘Man, the average American dude is very proud,’” MGK said. “He was just like a symbol of hope, because he was one of the boys, just one of the guys in the basement.”

To sum it all up, here are all the main points. Colson Baker is in love for the very first time, there’s a possibility he and Megan might get married because Howard Stern said so. Pete Davidson would slay that best man speech, just saying. MGK is not just a rapper, so stop saying that. And the last thing he wants to be is an angry legend. Yup, that pretty much covers it.
