AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The candidates vying to represent Austin City Council District 6 and District 10 will participate in a virtual candidate forum Monday night.

Early voting for the upcoming council runoff election begins on Thursday, with the runoff election scheduled for December 15.

In District 6, incumbent Jimmy Flannigan is facing off against Mackenzie Kelly; the district 10 race features incumbent Alison Alter facing off against Jennifer Virden.

Flannigan and Kelly will hold their forum first, beginning at 6 p.m., with Alter and Virden following. Each forum is expected to last 45 minutes to an hour.

The forums, which are presented by the City of Austin and the League of Women Voters of the Austin Area, are designed to provide Austinites an opportunity to listen to the candidates express their views, enabling voters to understand the candidates' positions and make informed decisions.
