AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A swimmer pulled from Lady Bird Lake by rescue swimmers was pronounced deceased Thursday night, officials said.
First responders were called to the scene, where Interstate 35 crosses the lake, around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Initial reports indicated a swimmer went under the water and did not resurface.
Rescue swimmers were able to locate the person and pull them to safety. Medics attempted to perform CPR, but the victim was pronounced deceased around 7:15 p.m.
