Dr Pepper confirms soda shortage amid COVID-19 pandemic

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and coins have all seen shortages during a pandemic-filled 2020. The latest casualty? Dr Pepper.

The Plano-based soft drink company noted the shortage of its products on store shelves in a tweet Monday afternoon. "We know it's hard to find Dr Pepper these days. We're working on it - hang tight!"

"We appreciate your patience and encourage you to contact your local retailer directly for the most up-to-date availability of Dr Pepper products," the company said in its tweet.

The company didn't give any insight as to what's causing the shortage.
