Caps' Orpik out several weeks after surgery

Defenseman Brooks Orpik underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss several weeks, the Washington Capitals announced Tuesday.

#Capitals say defenseman Brooks Orpik underwent a successful outpatient arthroscopic surgical procedure on his right knee. He is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks.

Orpik, 38, has one goal and one assist in ten games for Washington this season.

Jonas Siegenthaler is expected to stay on the Caps roster in-place of Orpik, per The Washington Post's Isabelle Khurshudyan.

Orpik is expected to miss four-to-six weeks following the procedure on his right knee.
