The Washington Football Team offered fans a glimpse of their new helmets on Wednesday, unveiling a fresh new look with numbers, in lieu of Native American imagery, on the sides.

It's fitting this crisp new look will be worn by so many Alabama alums. Jonathan Allen, Ryan Anderson, Landon Collins, Shaun Dion Hamilton, Hale Hentges, Daron Payne, Ross Pierschbacher, Cam Sims and Reuben Foster all wore helmets with their numbers on the sides in college.

Prediction No. 1: If Washington makes the playoffs in 2020, they'll remain the "Washington Football Team" for at least two more years.Prediction No. 2: If they somehow make it to the Super Bowl (stranger things have happened), "Washington Football Team" will become the new name. https://t.co/pxnmaanJqM

The Washington Football Team officially retired its "Redskins" nickname two weeks ago, which stemmed from a July 3 announcement to launch a formal review of the 87-year old name, a move spurred on by major team sponsors threatening to pull out.
