The Wizards are receiving a a 2020 second round pick and the rights to swap a future second round pick from the Bulls, per K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Smith, 30, spent the last three seasons with the Pistons and is heading into his tenth NBA season. He has career averages of 7.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game. The Wizards needed a playmaking guard with John Wall set to miss most, if not all, the 2019-20 season with an Achilles injury.
Satoransky spent the last three seasons with Washington after the Wizards drafted him in 2012. The Czech guard will now reunite with fellow ex-Wizard Otto Porter in Chicago.
