The Redskins got off to the hot start they needed in the first quarter against the Cowboys, thwarting Dallas' opening drive and then scoring on their own first offensive effort.

Down Chris Thompson, Jamison Crowder and Paul Richardson, the Redskins knew they'd need to find offense somewhere down on their depth chart.

Playing the role of Thompson, Kapri Bibbs answered the bell first, breaking free for a 23-yard scamper on a short pass from Alex Smith for the first score of the game.

As Jim Nance noted on the CBS broadcast, that's the first time in 12 games the Cowboys have allowed an opening-drive touchdown.

Smith even managed to find Josh Doctson for a 12-yard connection the drive. The six-play drive went for 47 yards in total.
