The Redskins re-signed wide receiver Brian Quick on Tuesday, potentially spelling bad injury news for Trey Quinn and/or Cam Sims.
The Redskins elected to carry six receivers as they finalized their 53-man roster, keeping rookies Quinn and Sims over the veteran Quick. But the former two were both injured in Sunday's season-opening win over the Cardinals, each suffering high-ankle sprains.
Combine that with Maurice Harris' concussion, which caused him to miss Week 1, and Washington is down to just three healthy receivers.
Gruden told reporters Monday they were waiting on MRI results to see if Quinn or Sims would require surgery.
