Redskins guard Brandon Scherff went down with an apparent ankle injury with a little under a minute to play in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Chicago Bears.

The Redskins are already working with a depleted offensive line, thanks to Trent Williams' ongoing holdout, and can ill-afford a serious injury to another starter.

Sherff, after seeking treatment on the sideline and with the benefit of an extended break at the end of the quarter, was able to return to the game on the same drive.

Scherff is back. You can breathe now.

Center Chase Roullier, however, would go down with an injury a short time later and he is questionable to return.

While the Redskins survived an injury scare with Scherff, they may not survive the Bears. The Redskins trail 21-0 as of the midway point in the second quarter.
