Who to start, and who to sit this week in fantasy football:
QB: Cam Newton, New England Patriots
Opponent: vs. Jets
Cam Newton has got to go off against the Jets. His job is on the line, the season is on the line, and the Jets are a complete dumpster fire. I'd set his floor at around 15 points for Week 9, and that is all you need for a bye-week fill in.
RB: Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals
Opponent: vs. Dolphins
Hopefully you picked up Chase Edmonds on the waiver wire last week. If you didn't, hopefully your opponent this week didn't either. Edmonds should feast with Kenyan Drake sidelined for the foreseeable future, and with an extra week to game-plan for the Dolphins, Edmonds is a must-start.
WR: Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Opponent: vs. Saints
He's back! Antonio Brown makes his return to the NFL on Sunday Night Football and could be spark your team needs to get over the hump. Bruce Arians has loved what he's seen from the former Steelers' receiver thus far, and it will be on display on prime time.
TE: Noah Fant, Denver Broncos
Opponent: at Falcons
The Broncos came away with the victory against the Chargers in Week 8 and will look to build on it in Week 9 against Atlanta. Look for the offense to go through Noah Fant, as the Falcons currently allow the most fantasy points-per-game to opposing tight ends.
QB: Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans
Opponent: vs. Bears
Ryan Tannehill has a tough matchup ahead of him when the Titans face off against the stout Bears defense that has allowed under 15 points per game to opposing fantasy quarterbacks. The Titans should win the game, but Tannehill isn't going to do the same for your matchup.
RB: Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
Opponent: at Ravens
Jonathan Taylor was unable to get going against the Lions in Week 8. Luckily for the Colts, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins were there to carry the load and help secure the victory. A tough matchup with a Baltimore defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs, combined with Taylor's struggles in Week 8 may result in less carries. Keep him on the bench.
WR: Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys
Opponent: vs. Steelers
After catching one pass for five yards against the Eagles' secondary on Sunday Night Football in Week 8, Amari Cooper now faces the Steelers' defense that has clamped down on opposing receivers all season. With the starting quarterback not confirmed, this one could get ugly very quickly. Keep Cooper out of the lineup.
TE: Mark Andrews: Baltimore Ravens
Opponent: vs. Colts
The Ravens look to bounce back against the Colts but may need to find another option other than Mark Andrews. The Colts defense hasn't allowed an opposing tight end to score all season, and they aren't going to let that start now.
