On third down, Cole Holcomb was coming in hot and he ran right over Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Oh, baby. Zeke Elliott wasn’t ready for the big hit and a sack of Andy Dalton.
He wasn’t ready at all.
And Holcomb wasn’t done torching Elliott or Dalton. Late in the 1st half with Dallas driving to score, Dalton’s pass to Elliott was dropped and picked by Holcomb.
Holcomb finished the half with three tackles, a sack, and an interception.
Earlier, the Washington defense got the team on the board with a safety after Landon Collins sacked Dalton on a third down.
The Washington defense finished with six sacks, six tackles for loss, and eight QB hits.
Washington held on for a 25-3 win to snap a five-game losing skid.
