Ben & Jerry's releasing two ice cream flavors for dogs

Bone appetit! Tails everywhere are waggin’ for Ben & Jerry’s newest flavors.

On Monday, the ice-cream company announced that it would be releasing two canine flavors as part of the Doggie Desserts collection: “Pontch’s Mix” and “Rosie’s Batch.”

“Pontch’s Mix” is described as a swirled peanut-butter-and-pretzel concoction.

“Rosie’s Batch” offers “cool creaminess of pumpkin and mini cookies” that’s perfect after a “puppy playdate or a long walk with their human.”

Per the press release, both 4oz. pints use the same ingredients as in the normal ice cream but with a sunflower-butter base.

The flavors are named after “two real dogs in the Ben & Jerry’s office,” a Frenchie and a rescue mutt of mixed heritage.

They will be available in multipacks "in supermarkets, mass retailers and select pet stores nationwide.”

"We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family," Lindsay Bumps, a certified veterinary technician and global marketing specialist for Ben & Jerry's said in the statement.

"We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs,” she added.

NBC notes that the Doggie Desserts will be available on the website Monday.

According to an Instagram post, they are said to be “coming soon to a freezer near you.”

And that means, it’s only a matter of time before you’re enjoying a delicious bowl of ice cream with your furry friend.

The treat will retail between $2.99 and $4.99.

You can also get your doggo some other fun swag as the company also carries pet accessories on its website including an ice cream cone plush toy and a tie-dye leash.
